London, Greater London, United Kingdom North East London NHS Foundation Trust Full time

An exciting opportunity exists at North East London NHS Foundation Trust for a highly skilled Lead Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the pioneering Rough Sleepers Mental Health Team. This position is critical in shaping the ethos and operation of the service, which has successfully expanded due to its pilot project.

The team comprises a multidisciplinary staff including a Staff Grade Psychiatrist, Clinical Team Lead, Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, Peer Support Worker, and administrative support. The successful candidate will receive clinical supervision from the Redbridge Lead Psychologist and have access to close associations with other Psychological Services that include EMDR Consultants and BABCP accredited supervisors for professional development opportunities.

This role involves contributing to training opportunities available for MDT staff, providing supervision of Honorary Assistant Psychologists and trainees, and supporting workforce development within the service. Additionally, there are new and exciting opportunities emerging within our Mental Health and Wellness Teams, offering the potential for a full-time role working across both services for the right candidate.

To be considered, candidates should possess experience as a senior-level Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in community mental health, with a particular interest in working with rough sleepers or homelessness. The successful individual must have the skills to assess psychological needs and implement flexible support or treatment plans, as well as knowledge of local mental health pathways and voluntary organisations.

We offer a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes opportunities for career development, a comprehensive pension scheme, and excellent work-life balance.
