Rough Sleeper Support Specialist

At Spencer Clarke Group, we are seeking a skilled Rough Sleeper Support Specialist to join our Homeless Prevention Service in Catford. As a key member of our team, you will provide a comprehensive homeless prevention, support, and advice service to all rough sleepers in the area.

Your key responsibilities will include providing an assessment service to rough sleepers, acting as a key worker to allocated individuals, and developing specialist knowledge and skills to deliver a flexible and responsive housing needs service.

Main Duties:

• Provide a comprehensive homeless prevention, support, and advice service to all rough sleepers in Catford.
• Provide an assessment service to rough sleepers presenting to the Council.
• Act as a key worker to allocated rough sleepers, working alongside Housing Solution Officers to ensure Personal Housing Plans are in place and up-to-date.
• Develop specialist knowledge and skills in relation to rough sleepers as required.
• Focus on engaging rough sleepers into services using an outreach approach.

Requirements:

• Experience working with vulnerable clients with substance/alcohol, mental health, and No Recourse Public Funds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
