Head of Performance and Operations

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as the Head of Performance and Operations at Cambridge University Hospitals. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for leading our newly established Performance Function, driving high-quality, effective, and efficient care across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the Performance Function, embedding a culture of accountability and performance across the organization.
- Develop and implement robust performance management systems, working closely with the Business Intelligence team.
- Hold senior leaders accountable for performance-related issues, providing constructive support and challenge.
- Contribute to budget setting and overall financial performance.
- Lead the team to drive forward the delivery against key operational targets, capacity-related operational, and strategic projects.
**Requirements**
- Masters or equivalent experience/qualification in business, operations management, planning, health management, or related field.
- Proven track record of delivery at a senior level in a large complex service-focused organization, including staff management, change management, performance management, and business planning.
- Experience of working with finance, quality, workforce, and operational performance data, drawing out and balancing insights between different types of data.
- Highly developed specialist knowledge of operational management, including capacity management and patient flow in an acute hospital setting.
- Highly developed specialist knowledge in performance management, program management, and quality improvement in a healthcare setting.
