Competitive Pay and Benefits
  • Starting salary of £36,774 per annum, plus £4,500 per annum London Allowance and £1,794 per annum Seasonal Working Allowance, totaling £43,068 per annum
  • Company commercial vehicle and fuel from home to work
  • 37 hours Monday to Friday, with weekends off
  • Paid overtime
  • 26 days holiday plus 8 statutory days
  • Option to buy or sell additional holiday days

About the Role

As a Mechanical and Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties on Substation plant and equipment, including installation, refurbishment, maintenance, fault investigation, and repair. You will benefit from industry-leading training at our facilities in Eakring, Nottinghamshire, and other substation sites.

Requirements
  • A minimum Level 2/3 recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering, or an NVQ/Level 3 electrical or mechanical qualification with relevant fitting experience
  • Good all-round engineering skills, including working to safety procedures, mechanical fitting, electrical fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, working at height, lifting operations, panel wiring, and fault finding
  • A Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Residency within 30 minutes' travel of Northfleet or Gillingham
