Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs

TeacherActive is a leading provider of educational staffing solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in a good Primary school in Heanor.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will assist the teacher with classroom preparation and create a supportive learning environment for students with special educational needs.
- Assist the teacher with classroom preparation and create a supportive learning environment
- Work one-to-one with students who require additional support and develop personalized learning plans
- Lead group work sessions and engage students in fun and interactive activities
- Collaborate with the class teacher to conduct pupil observations and inform teaching practices
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 6 months experience working with children with SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations
As a SEND Teaching Assistant through TeacherActive, you will receive:
