Project Lead Opportunity

Dales Marine Services seeks a skilled Project Lead to oversee complex ship repair and fabrication projects in our Greenock dry dock facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  • Negotiate project agreements, defining scope, timeline, and budget with clients.
  • Serve as a technical expert, providing guidance to large teams of multiple trades in completing repair works, including steelwork, piping, and engineering.
  • Maintain knowledge of various trades within the ship repair environment, such as outfitting, painting, engines, hydraulics, and electrical.
  • Oversee project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • A strong background in Oil & Gas, Renewables, Large Fabrication Projects, or offshore vessels is beneficial.
  • Experience working with service companies, particularly those dealing with vessels, marine equipment, maintenance, or overhauls, is valuable.
  • Familiarity with renewable aspects of the marine industry offers a competitive edge.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word at an advanced level is required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding repair shipyard/dry dock environment is essential.
  • Weekday overtime and weekend working during normal hours may be expected.
  • Willingness to travel to other yards or remote locations dictated by the customer is necessary.
