Exclusive Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work across the curriculum, from EYFS to Key Stage 5, in a school in the North West catering to pupils with Complex Needs.

About the Role

This full-time or part-time position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to students with complex needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist teachers in the delivery of educational programs, promoting student engagement and understanding.
  • To provide individualized support to students with Complex Needs, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique requirements.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • To collaborate with the education team to develop and implement effective support strategies.
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified and compassionate individual who possesses:

  • A relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g., NCFE, CACHE, or NVQ Level 1, 2, or 3).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or UK residency.
  • Previous experience working with children within the last two years.
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience supporting students with Complex Needs.
  • Two references from previous roles working with children.
  • A current DBS registered with the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
