Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Key Stage 3 to 5 and post-16 in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEN, holding a relevant teaching assistant qualification and excellent knowledge of the curriculum and assessment frameworks. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver tailored support to students, promoting their educational and personal development.

Requirements
  • Relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Previous experience working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • All Key Stage curriculum experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
