Job Description: Children and Families Pastor

River Church is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children and Families Pastor to lead our children and families ministry. As a key member of our senior leadership team, this person will oversee the growth and development of River Kids, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to plan events, meetings, and services.

About the Role:
The Children and Families Pastor will be responsible for providing spiritual leadership within the kids team, contributing to the spiritual direction of the wider church, and managing the kids department budget. This role requires excellent organisational skills and time management, with the ability to manage, motivate, and encourage others. The ideal candidate will also have experience in leading midweek groups, activities, courses, and events aimed at children and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide spiritual leadership within the kids team
  • Contribute to the spiritual direction of the wider church
  • Manage the kids department budget
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Media Manager to curate River Kids social media channels

Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A mature, personal faith in and relationship with God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  • A thorough understanding of statutory Child Protection/Safeguarding requirements
  • Experience in leading services, prayer, and worship for kids
  • Outstanding ability to communicate Christian teaching to kids

Salary: £25,213 per annum.
