Technical and Trustee Services Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Technical Services Specialist to join our team at Unilever. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to work on a wide range of technical pensions projects, utilizing their expertise to drive business outcomes and deliver high-quality results.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and providing technical pensions expertise to the Trustees, Company, and outsourced Third Party Administrators.
- Assisting in researching technical queries raised by internal and external stakeholders, identifying and gathering relevant information, and drafting briefing papers/summaries.
- Ensuring schemes are compliant in all areas of regulations and legislation, and carrying out certain compliance activities.
- Managing the distribution of SMPI statements and maintaining the database for legacy Additional Voluntary Contribution providers.
- Producing the statutory Scheme Annual Report and Accounts, and drafting sections for the Trustees' report.
- Monitoring technical bulletins, identifying key matters of interest, and ensuring actions are taken by relevant stakeholders.
- Accurately maintaining technical databases of important historic scheme information.
- Managing the production and execution of formal documents, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to explain why documents are required, obtain approvals, and ensure documents are executed within required timescales.
- Completing surveys and statutory requests for information.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence to work independently and exercise judgement, while also judging limitations and knowing when to consult or escalate decisions.
- The ability to manage a large and varied workload, prioritizing effectively to deliver to critical timescales.
- Confidence in the use of IT systems.
- Qualifications to degree level, with working towards the professional exams for Associate Membership of the Pensions Management Institute, and sound knowledge of UK pensions legislation and best practice.
