We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non-Executive Director to join our Information and Digital Board. As a key member of the Board, you will provide strategic leadership and guidance on information, data, and digital matters within Parliament.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice and direction on digital, data, and information matters
  • Support the Chief Information Officer and Senior Information Risk Owner in their responsibilities
  • Oversee the digital investment portfolio and information, data, and digital transformation
  • Ensure Parliament's digital services are secure and resilient
Requirements
  • Board or Board-level experience in a comparable organization
  • Previous experience as a non-executive director or external member
  • Relevant experience working in digital, data, and information within a high-profile organization
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to exercise independent judgement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Desirable Criteria
  • Good understanding of Parliament and its operations
  • Experience working in a complex governance environment
Terms of Appointment

The position is offered for three years initially, with the possibility of extension for a further three years. The maximum term for a Non-Executive Director is six years.

Remuneration

A fee of £9495 per annum will be paid, with reasonable expenses reimbursed up to a maximum of £1500 per year.
