Job Overview

The role of BPA Business Development Director plays a critical part in driving BPA Business Development and delivering an annual sales plan, at or better than plan financial metrics for BPA. You will support the Director of BPA Business Development in developing and executing strategic plans, including building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders such as EBCs, professional trustees and existing clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive and deliver stretching BPA sales plan, ensuring delivery to ROI and other financial performance metrics. Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure sales, capital and return targets are met in line with the business plan.
  • Build strong durable relationships with all external and internal stakeholders, driving greater value for CLUK and the broader Group.
  • Support the execution of bulk annuity transactions, including policy conditions, and communicate the impact of actuarial developments to senior executives.
  • Continually monitor market trends and data to manage risk and support the development of the BPA Strategy.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A good understanding of the UK Bulk Annuity market, preferably with prior experience in origination and execution of bulk annuity transactions.
  • A solid knowledge of BPA products and pricing, as well as understanding of capital requirements under Solvency II.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to drive innovation in BPA transactions and proposition.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including a generous pension and bonus scheme, along with income protection, private medical insurance and life assurance.
