Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Strategic Clinical Lead to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and strategic direction for our Mental Health Services in North East London.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of mental health services. You will work closely with our Assistant Directors, other leadership roles, and external partners to promote effective relationships and deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clear, achievable, and measurable clinical objectives for our Mental Health Services.
  • Assist with the effective management of operational services and resources within our designated service areas, including budgets and staffing as appropriate.
  • Initiate and implement programs to achieve strategic and clinical changes and improvements to services and systems.
  • Act as the point of contact for program oversight and ensure there is a research culture within our Mental Health Services.
  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership, liaise with commissioners, and support the development of a multi-professional workforce plan spanning Mental Health Services across North East London.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Post-graduate qualified psychological practitioner or registered nurse experience in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services or MHST's.
  • Extensive clinical and operational leadership experience, complex project management skills, and a successful track record of meeting performance and governance targets.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic planning processes, policy, and practice related to education settings and emotional wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to form effective working relationships with multidisciplinary teams.

Location

This role is based in Rainham, Essex, and may require travel to various locations across North East London.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
