Clinical Lead for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

An exciting opportunity has become available to lead and drive the service forward for our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in collaboration with key stakeholders across Health, Social Care, and Education.
Main Duties
- You will be clinically responsible for the CAMHS Services portfolio and pathways across Barking and Dagenham psychological therapies.
- You will provide directorate-wide leadership on specific issues, requiring well-honed performance and clinical management skills.
- You will head up a range of service development and Quality Improvement initiatives directly as well as working with and through your teams, colleagues, and peers to deliver directorate and system-wide improvement.
Responsibilities
- You will be a qualified psychological practitioner, fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body.
- You will require strategic understanding and excellent communication skills to develop effective relationships with key partners, including the ICB, Local Authority, GPs, voluntary sector organisations, and other statutory agencies.
- You will have extensive clinical and operational leadership experience across CAMHS to support the teams, acting as an effective team member whilst working on your own initiative.
- You will be responsible for the overall clinical supervision structure of qualified staff.
- You will have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social care professionals and agencies.
Person Specification
- Holds professional qualifications named in Person Spec.
- Has relevant CPD and/or additional qualifications.
- Extensive experience in Children's Mental Health.
- Can demonstrate skills in Audit and Research.
- Experience in managing patient safety and risk management.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information.
Key Skills
- NHS Priorities and Issues.
- Maintain confidentiality/data protection.
- Clear communication skills including excellent writing, data entry, and presentation skills.
- Able to construct and deliver clear information/instructions to others.
