Job Summary:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Aerospace Engineer to join our team as an Aircraft Systems Design Engineer.

About the Role:

  • As an expert in actuation and landing gear specialist domains, you will play a critical role in supporting our Falconworks program.
  • You will be responsible for developing actuation and landing gear sub-systems for challenging first flight timescales and subsequent spiral development.
  • You will engage with key suppliers to identify and engineer solutions to meet tight project deadlines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Align and maintain product design/development approach across multiple projects.
  • Create and manage platform level requirements to ensure successful integration of aircraft systems.
  • Configure and control design artefacts through design release processes.
  • Manage deviations, waivers, and technical issues arising during development.
  • Collate evidence for product release, including safety cases and limitations documentation.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams, including CEM, System Delivery Units, and Air Functions for Integration activities.

Requirements:

  • Possess strong domain knowledge in actuation and landing gear specialist areas.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Candidates must be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level.

Security Clearance:

  • The client will sponsor a new application, allowing you to start while this is pending.
  • This role operates inside IR35.
