About You

We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Workplace Wellbeing to join our team. As a Director of Workplace Wellbeing, you will be responsible for leading our health and safety function and making a significant impact on the wellbeing of our colleagues and service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the health and safety function, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems, working closely with Quality & Governance Partners.
  • Collaborate with L & D to design and deliver comprehensive training relevant to roles within Cartrefi Cymru, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Maintain accurate health and safety records and ensure full compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Lead and report on investigations of health and safety incidents, dangerous occurrences, and work-related ill health.
  • Undertake risk assessments as required and lead on training others to conduct risk assessments, monitoring quality and compliance.
Requirements
  • Chartered (CMIOSH) Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Holds a recognised health and safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6 or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety law, regulations, and best practices across diverse risks.
  • Track record of influencing a positive health and safety culture.
  • Experience in planning, developing, and implementing health and safety management systems in large, complex organisations.
  • Ability to analyse and resolve complex issues, balancing organisational risk with business needs.
  • Qualified trainer with ability to design and deliver health and safety training content.
  • Able to proactively anticipate, research, and mitigate problems, identifying underlying issues, interpret data, and communicate issues and implications to others.
  • Team player who collaborates well with immediate and wider team.
  • Understanding of environmental policies relating to the sector.
  • Welsh language speaker or willingness to learn.
Salary

£65,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience.
