About the Role

As a Classroom Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining a structured and engaging learning environment during teacher absences. You will have the opportunity to work across various subjects, support diverse learners, and help students stay on track with their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students across different subjects, following lesson plans provided by the teacher.
  • Ensure classroom management by creating a focused and respectful learning environment.
  • Support students' academic progress by providing direction and assistance as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with staff, sharing insights on students' engagement and behaviour.
  • Uphold school policies, including behaviour and safeguarding guidelines, at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting is ideal.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain authority in the classroom and engage with students of all abilities.
  • An adaptable approach, with a positive and patient attitude.
