Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to inspire and support pupils in one of our excellent Primary Schools in North Tyneside.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work with pupils in KS1 with varied SEN and challenging behaviour, requiring a resilient practitioner with excellent relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with their learning and communicate effectively with Class Teachers to ensure appropriate strategies are used.
  • Manage challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive, and consistent manner.
  • Build positive relationships with Class Teachers to support pupils and discuss/implement strategies and learning activities.
  • Supervise pupils at break times and lunch times as required.
Requirements
  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 ideal, but Level 2 considered).
  • Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant within Schools in the UK.
  • An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people to fulfil their potential and flourish in education.
