About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a lovely SEN school in North Tyneside. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of needs, including ASD, MLD, behavioural issues, and PMLD/complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEND, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as needed.
  • Support pupils with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support for pupils.
Requirements
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
  • Experience in supporting children with SEND, although not essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DBS clearance or willingness to obtain.
