About the Role:

As a Sales Development Manager for our client, you will be responsible for driving business growth in the timber industry. The successful candidate will have experience in sales and specification, with a strong track record of success in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell manufactured range of timber restoration products to joiners, carpenters, painting contractors, local authorities, housing associations, FM companies, property developers, architects, specifiers, distributors, decorating outlets, and end users.
  • Manage existing accounts and develop new business opportunities in the Southern Home Counties region.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, deliver CPD seminars to architects and specifiers, and track sales progress through regular communication with clients.
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales revenue.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in sales and specification within the timber industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in selling added-value products to contractors, local authorities, and other key stakeholders in the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting sales targets and deadlines.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Basic salary: £42,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Southern weighting: £3,600 per annum.
  • Annual bonus potential: up to £7,500.
  • 32 days holiday per annum, plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Executive-level company car or equivalent allowance.
  • Pension scheme with employer matching contributions.
