About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HM Prison Highpoint South. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with prisoners to assess and address their mental health needs, providing comprehensive care and support to ensure their well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of prisoners' mental health needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing personalized care plans.
- Initiate and review care plans, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Develop and implement treatment options, including medication rounds and therapy sessions, to address prisoners' mental health needs.
- Assess and treat prisoners who have experienced traumatic events, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to heal.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure prisoners receive comprehensive care, including physical and mental health assessments.
