Safeguarding Adults Lead Role

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to lead the Corporate Safeguarding Team as the Trust's Adult Safeguarding Lead.

Main Responsibilities

The postholder will ensure effective arrangements are in place to safeguard and promote the welfare of adults at risk, meeting statutory duties, responsibilities, and obligations.

To develop and implement the Trust's safeguarding adult agenda, ensuring policies, procedures, and governance systems meet statutory, national, and local requirements.

Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to ensure timely and effective handling of safeguarding concerns and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Significant experience in a leadership role in adult safeguarding
  • Highly specialist knowledge in working with complex family situations, mental health, and substance misuse in relation to safeguarding adults
  • Legal literacy in adult safeguarding
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support others in a sensitive manner
Key Requirements
  • Registered nurse/registered professional (Social worker/Allied Health Professional)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Proven years of post-registration experience in safeguarding, including senior leadership roles
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as:
