Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cancer Services team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in gynaecological cancer care and a proven track record of leading and delivering change.
Main Duties of the JobThe post holder will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care across both hospital sites. They will take a leadership role as part of the Uro-Oncology Team, working independently to manage a high-quality care and cost-effective service for patients with suspected or confirmed Urology cancer.
Working for Our OrganisationMaidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England. We provide a full range of general hospital services and some aspects of specialist and complex care to around 600,000 people living in west Kent and East Sussex.
We have a team of over 8,000 full and part-time staff and provide specialist cancer services to around 2 million people across Kent and East Sussex via the Kent Oncology Centre.
Person Specification- First-level Registered Nurse
- Broad clinical experience relevant to the post
- Site-specific/Cancer Care qualification or module
- Nursing Degree, Masters, or equivalent level experience
- Leadership/management qualification or equivalent level experience
- Demonstrable previous success in leading and delivering change
- Ability to manage performance by engaging teams in the strategic direction and delivery plans
- Able to establish clear work priorities, delegate effectively, ensure a capability to deliver, monitor performance, and give feedback
- Proven ability to analyse complex problems and develop and successfully implement practical and workable solutions to address them
- Ability to think and plan strategically, tactically, and creatively
- Able to prioritise work programs in the face of competing demands
- A strong sense of personal and team accountability coupled with a clear understanding of the boundaries around delegated authority
- A good understanding of the changing NHS environment
- Excellent clinical skills
