Procurement Manager

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to head up materials purchasing and drive growth at our innovative manufacturing business in Bootle.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing/engineering, with a proven track record of cost savings and supplier relationship management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans to meet business objectives
- Issuing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and maintaining accurate records of transactions
- Sourcing and qualifying best suppliers based on quality-cost ratio
- Conducting supplier audits and benchmarking market trends
- Researching and identifying new suppliers for approval
- Collaborating with Quality and R&D teams to evaluate new items
- Producing reports on purchasing activities and driving continuous improvement
Essential requirements:
- Purchasing qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
Desirable requirements:
- Certified in Purchasing (CIPS) qualified or working towards CIPS qualification
We offer a salary of £32k-£35k, contributory pension, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, early Friday finish, work phone, laptop, flexible working hours, and remote work option.
