Procurement Executive Role Description

This is a Part Time Fixed Term position within Princes Limited, a leading food and drink manufacturer with a global presence. We are seeking a talented Procurement Executive to join our team, responsible for purchasing assigned products at the lowest cost of total ownership. The successful candidate will work closely with our Finished Goods procurement team to manage contracts and vendors, generate analytics to monitor supplier performance and stock position, and travel may be required for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain the lowest possible total cost of ownership through negotiation, market intelligence, and supplier knowledge.
  • Work in close partnership with Senior Procurement managers to provide continuity through absence periods and assist with workload during seasonal peaks.
  • Manage supplier and customer contract balances, maintain currency and cost savings trackers, and update SAP with contracts and costing information.
  • Support the communication of market conditions in a timely fashion and develop and maintain responsible suppliers to meet Princes/Industry standards.
  • Manage contracts professionally and accurately, while maintaining cost conditions and source lists.
  • Work closely with Operations, Planning, NPD, Sales, and Commercial on all product procurement issues.

Requirements
  • Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • IT literate and competent user of Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Strong communication and team working skills.

Desired
  • SAP analytics and reporting.
  • Degree level qualification, ideally business related.
  • Previous buying/procurement role experience.
  • Associate or student of CIPS, or working towards CIPS qualification.
  • Willingness to travel UK and overseas.
