Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric CNS to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the highest level of quality expert practice and care for children and young people with home mechanical ventilation needs and their families.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert clinical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans for children with home mechanical ventilation needs
  • Collaborating with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Leading and managing a caseload of patients with complex respiratory needs
  • Providing education and training to staff and families on respiratory care and management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a Paediatric Nurse
  • Intravenous accreditation
  • Mentorship course or equivalent
  • Specialist Clinical Course in Respiratory
  • Post-registration experience in a relevant specialty
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
