Our research themes span molecular and precision bioscience, cell and developmental biology, neuroscience, microbiology, plants and food security, and ecology and evolution. We are committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive research environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
Research Opportunities:
- Microbial Biofilms: We are seeking a microbiologist with expertise in the biology and mechanisms of microbial biofilms. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing the reputation of the National Biofilms Innovation Centre (NBIC) at Southampton.
- Plant Sciences: We are looking for a researcher with expertise in plant biochemistry, physiology, or developmental biology. The successful candidate will address fundamental questions in the field and contribute to our growing team of researchers.
- Neuroscience: We are recruiting two neuroscientists with research interests in molecular and cellular neuroscience, and systems neuroscience. The successful candidates will join a growing community of interdisciplinary researchers.
- Computational Biology: We are seeking a researcher with expertise in computational biology and experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The successful candidate will contribute to our research themes and enhance our reputation in the field.
- Biological Sciences: We welcome applications from academics whose research complements that ongoing within the School. The successful candidate will integrate into a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
