We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team as a PD Lead. This is a fixed-term contract until 14th March 2025. The successful candidate will be part of our adult community psychological services in Mid Essex, working alongside a variety of experienced professionals from different backgrounds.
Main DutiesThe post-holder will be expected to have expertise in specific psychological interventions aimed at reducing risk and addressing emotional dysregulation, preferably Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or CBT for PD. They will contribute to the management and running of these therapeutic programmes, working in multi-disciplinary teams and across services.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work within supportive MDTs and highly experienced clinical/counselling psychology and psychotherapy colleagues. The successful candidate will be competent and experienced in delivering psychological assessments and interventions, capable of assessing and managing clients and situations at high risk. Experience of offering consultations and developing clinical formulations is essential.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the HCPC. They will also have HCPC registration and experience in specialist psychological assessment and treatment of complex mental health presentations across the full range of care settings, including inpatient and community settings.
