Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Adult Community Psychological Services team as a PD Lead. This is a fixed-term contract until 14th March 2025, and we welcome newly qualified applicants who can demonstrate the right skills and experience.
The successful candidate will have expertise in specific psychological interventions aimed at reducing risk and addressing emotional dysregulation, preferably Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or CBT for PD. They will be expected to contribute to the management and running of therapeutic programmes and have some knowledge in the delivery of one or more specialist evidence-based psychological interventions.
Main Duties- Deliver psychological assessments and interventions to service users with complex mental health presentations.
- Conduct neuropsychological assessments in adult services.
- Teach, train, and supervise colleagues.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within supportive multi-disciplinary teams and highly experienced clinical/counselling psychology and psychotherapy colleagues. The successful candidate will be capable of assessing and managing clients and situations at high risk.

Person Specification- Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent), including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the HCPC.
- HCPC registration
- Post graduate training in an evidence-based and specialist psychological treatment, preferably DBT, or the willingness to undertake this training, in line with the needs of the service.
