About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Fundraising Manager to join our dynamic team at the Ella Dawson Foundation. As a key member of our senior team, you will play a leading role in implementing and delivering our fundraising strategy, driving sustainable financial growth and stability, and helping us make a life-changing difference to young adults with and beyond cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, deliver, and monitor our fundraising strategy, working closely with the senior team to achieve our goals.
  • Undertake detailed research to identify and prioritize relevant trusts and foundations, and write compelling and successful grant applications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trusts and foundations, and lead on stewardship and engagement.
  • Work with the CEO to develop and deliver successful corporate partner engagement plans.
  • Establish and maintain systems, procedures, and proactive stewardship to engage our supporters and maintain accurate data capture.
  • Assist with the establishment of our CRM database and take responsibility for maintaining accurate data capture and regular stewardship.
  • Deliver presentations to businesses, community partners, donors, supporters, and ambassadors.
  • Develop creative and innovative ways to engage new supporters, businesses, donors, and partners.
  • Lead and participate in our annual fundraising events.
Personal Specification

We are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant qualification – Minimum Level 4 relevant qualification/experience in a relevant subject area.
  • Minimum 3 years proven track record of income generation, meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Experience in developing new fundraising pipelines.
  • Strong written skills and the ability to develop compelling and successful grant applications.
  • Experience of working with CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated success of effective grant stewardship and corporate account management.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Passion for our cause to support young people with cancer and their families.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and relationship management skills.
  • An understanding of the unique needs of young people in a healthcare setting would be desirable.
