Special Educational Needs Instructor

GSL Education - Newcastle is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a fantastic school in the area. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for developing tailored lesson plans, providing one-to-one and small group support, and adapting learning materials to ensure accessibility for students with special educational needs.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Collaborating with teaching staff to adapt resources and lesson plans for SEN students.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK and proven experience working with children with SEN are essential qualifications for this role. A strong knowledge of SEN teaching methodologies and adaptations, as well as a commitment to safeguarding and child protection, are also required.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to gain valuable experience across diverse educational settings and benefit from long-term placements, allowing them to build meaningful relationships with students.
Estimated salary for this role is £15,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience. Please note that this figure is based on industry standards for the location and role.
