**Job Title:** Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator

**Location:** North Tyneside

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SENCO to join our team at a fantastic primary school in North Tyneside. As a SENCO, you will play a crucial role in determining the strategic development of special educational needs (SEND) policy and provision in the school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and coordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability. In addition, they will be expected to fulfill the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status and National Award for SEN Co-ordination.
  • Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEND) policy and provision in the school.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability.
  • Fulfill the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.
