Protocol Education is a leading education staffing agency, and we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Education Worker to join our team in Northumberland. In this role, you will work closely with class teachers to provide individualized support to students with diverse needs and abilities, helping them overcome learning difficulties and achieve their full potential.

About the Job
This position requires someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality support to students. You will be responsible for adapting learning materials, assisting with classroom management, and promoting positive behavior among students. You will also contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with SEN, learning difficulties, and emotional challenges
  • Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behavior
  • Adapting learning materials to meet individual student needs
  • Helping students develop social, emotional, and academic skills
  • Monitoring student progress and providing additional support when needed
  • Creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment

About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about education, patient, and empathetic. You should have experience in education or a related field, and hold a qualification in education or child development (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning). Experience working with SEN or SEMH students is a plus but not required. We offer competitive pay rates and ongoing training opportunities, making this an excellent chance to advance your career.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
