Traffic Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and personable Traffic Dispatcher to join our team at Biffa. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day organization of our depot, ensuring the efficient allocation and routing of vehicles to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the allocation and routing of vehicles to ensure best-in-class service delivery
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained and environmental and O-licence compliance is upheld
- Support employee engagement and continuous improvement in productivity and quality of service provision
- Liaise with customers, internal call centres, and Biffa drivers to resolve issues and confirm work
- Process orders, confirm work, and run daily reports
- Perform administrative tasks and maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the local area
- Transport/waste industry experience
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate in writing, on a one-to-one basis, and via phone with all levels, including management, team members, and internal/external customers
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively
- Experience working to strict deadlines in a time-critical environment
- Willingness to adapt and develop skill-sets and knowledge determined by the role/business
- Computer literate, comfortable using business software and Microsoft Office Suite (specifically strong knowledge of Excel)
