About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Disability Assessor to join our team at PFAS. As a Disability Assessor, you will play a crucial role in interviewing claimants to understand the challenges they face and assessing how their disability/condition/illness impacts their functional ability on daily activities in a respectful, non-biased and reassuring manner.

You will use your clinical expertise to complete thorough assessments and examinations via telephone, video call, or face-to-face, and provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
  • Interpret clinical information and evidence.
  • Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to code of conduct.
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified healthcare professional with a minimum of 12 months of clinical experience, preferably in a medical background. You should have a broad clinical knowledge and previous experience in using computer software, including Microsoft Office.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Nurses: Qualified Nurse RGN, or dual qualified RMN/RNLD, and Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
  • Physios/OTs: Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT's (COT).
