Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Care Support Specialist to provide continuous supervision, care, and support to a charming, humorous, and happy young man with complex care needs. The role is based in Lewes, Brighton, in our client's own home. The waking night hours are 7pm to 7am on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
About the Client and Support Needed:
Our client's interests are varied, and he loves playing with his Lego, watching TV, and visiting museums, especially the Imperial War Museum. In spite of his medical conditions, he is described as being the happiest person ever with a quick sense of humour, enjoying life and college while being supported by his parents, younger sibling, and care team.
Our client needs support to ensure he is safe. Your role will be to ensure he is never left alone and to respond to him when needed, accompanying him to the bathroom, supporting during seizures, and calling for assistance if necessary. You will also ensure his medication is administered on time each morning.
You will ideally have experience of a similar care role and a knowledge of children's British culture or similar interests.
You should be friendly, enthusiastic, and be meticulous with punctuality...a good sense of humour is a must

Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:
- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
- Experience in a similar care role is required
- A willingness to provide holiday cover across the team
- Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a person-centred way
- Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the clients needs
- Respect Company policies and procedures
- Be reliable / non-judgemental / caring / responsible / compassionate
- Committed to confidentiality and to treat the client with dignity and respect
