Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Care Support Specialist to provide high-quality care and support to a young man with complex care needs. The role is based in Lewes, where you will work closely with the client and their family to ensure their safety and well-being. The waking night hours are 7pm to 7am on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
About the Client and Support Needed:
Our client has a variety of interests, including playing with Legos, watching TV, and visiting museums. They are described as being the happiest person ever, with a quick sense of humor and a love for life. Your role will be to ensure they are never left alone and to respond to their needs, accompanying them to the bathroom, supporting during seizures, and calling for assistance if necessary. You will also ensure their medication is administered on time each morning.
You will ideally have experience of a similar care role and a knowledge of children's British culture or similar interests. You should be friendly, enthusiastic, and meticulous with punctuality, with a good sense of humor.

Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:
- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by Home Care Direct)
- Experience in a similar care role is required
- A willingness to provide holiday cover across the team
- Prepared to commit to long-term care for one client in a person-centered way
- Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
- Respect Company policies and procedures
- Be reliable, non-judgmental, caring, responsible, and compassionate
- Committed to confidentiality and to treat the client with dignity and respect
