Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in our supported living service in South Chailey. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing active support to our service users, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
You will work closely with our team to develop and implement personalized care plans, promoting positive behaviors and outcomes. Your expertise and passion for supporting individuals with complex needs will be invaluable in this role.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality support to service users, promoting independence and enabling them to reach their full potential.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans, working closely with the team to ensure effective support.
- Support service users with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Encourage and promote positive behaviors, using positive behavior support methods to address challenging behaviors.
- Maintain accurate records of service user progress and activities.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans and strategies.
- Experience working in a health or social care setting, preferably with individuals with complex needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with challenging behaviors.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- A full manual UK driving license.
