About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our specialist team at St Peter & St James Hospice. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide palliative care to individuals with complex symptom management arising from life-limiting illnesses in the community setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess referrals for appropriateness and urgency
- Provide palliative nursing interventions working closely with medical and other colleagues
- Manage a caseload of patients with specialist palliative care and end-of-life care needs
- Identify nursing best practice developments to support the clinical team
Requirements
- Self-motivated and kind, with excellent communication and assessment/prioritisation skills
- Experience in community nursing and clinical palliative care
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate advanced nursing practice
- Own transport essential
