Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiographer to join our team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Radiographer, you will be responsible for providing accurate and safe radiotherapy planning scans using complex equipment such as CT simulators and MR scanners.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure that the highly complex pre-treatment radiotherapy imaging equipment is safe and accurate to operate, both for staff and patient, undertaking the appropriate machine checks and reporting any variances, faults, and malfunctions.
  2. Using highly complex equipment and software for virtual simulation of radiotherapy treatments in order to produce accurate treatment plans.
  3. Electronic dispatch of pre-treatment images to relevant sections of the radiotherapy and treatment planning departments.

Requirements:
  • A strong background in medical imaging and radiation therapy.
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of current pre-treatment radiotherapy technologies.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
