Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Clinical Practice Facilitator to join the Surgical Specialties Division at University College London Hospitals. This role offers a chance to develop your career and contribute to the education and professional development of nursing and healthcare assistant staff.

As a Clinical Practice Facilitator, you will work collaboratively with ward managers, matrons, and the CPF team to ensure the delivery of evidence-based high-quality care. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of educational programs, promoting current evidence-based practice, and sharing knowledge with staff.

Main duties of the role include:

  • Maintaining high visibility within clinical practice settings
  • Working collaboratively with the CPF team and ward managers to ensure quality education is delivered
  • Supporting staff in meeting essential and desirable clinical skills, including oral and IV medication administration, venepuncture, and cannulation
  • Promoting current evidence-based practice and sharing knowledge with staff
  • Exploring new ways of providing clinical learning experiences and promoting the implementation of new methods and ideas
  • Participating in teaching for the wider trust OSCEs and in-house training programs
  • Assisting in the support of personal development plans in relation to clinical competence
  • Assisting with recruitment and selection of staff
