Job Title: Transport Administration Assistant

Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, the Transport Admin Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the duty Transport Shift Manager. This position will provide general administrative support as directed by the Transport Operations Manager as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all drivers are briefed and instructed, and given correct paperwork.
  • Ensure all drivers are correctly debriefed when they return to site.
  • Carry out driver licence checks.
  • Deal with service agents and raise and process vehicle defects.
  • Update and use various IT and business systems.
  • Update various spreadsheets.
  • Answer and deal with incoming calls to the transport office.
  • Support the Transport Shift Manager.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills to give accurate information to drivers and a confident telephone manner.
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Effectively prioritise workload to meet set deadlines.
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually.
  • Be professional, approachable, and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation.
  • Good standard of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office Applications.
