About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Underwriter to join our team at Allianz (UK) Limited. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for providing expert underwriting services to our clients, leveraging your technical knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior authority holder, focused on winning and retaining large and complex business
  • Provide exceptional service to our customers, building strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions
  • Develop and maintain successful broker relationships, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Be visible in the local market, engaging with brokers and end customers to drive business growth
  • Develop business relationships with key clients, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Achieve agreed financial and operational performance targets, working closely with other departments to drive success

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Outstanding technical underwriting skills in commercial property and/or casualty
  • A proven track record of dealing with large and/or complex risks
  • The ability to leverage data and analytics to inform underwriting decisions
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator
  • ACII qualified or progression towards
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
