About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our team at Pen Underwriting. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing risk for our clients, ensuring that our policies meet their needs and provide the necessary protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and manage new and existing accounts, ensuring that policies are tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and evaluations to determine the level of risk associated with each account.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our policies meet their needs and provide the necessary protection.
  • Collaborate with other members of the underwriting team to share knowledge and best practices, and to ensure that our policies are consistent with our company's risk management strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our underwriting processes and policies.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in underwriting and risk management, preferably in the commercial insurance sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex risk scenarios and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
