About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care team in Essex County Council. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with adults who require support to live independently, helping them to maintain their skills and abilities. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of our clients, developing and implementing personalized care plans, and providing guidance and advice to clients, families, and other professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of adults requiring support to live independently
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Provide guidance and advice to clients, families, and other professionals
  • Work collaboratively with other teams, such as housing and community services, to ensure a cohesive and effective service
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to maintain professional knowledge and skills

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent qualification, and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will also need to have experience of working with adults, either in a healthcare or social care setting, and be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills. A comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance is also essential.
