About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our Higher Needs Floating Support Service. As a Support Worker, you will work closely with clients who are facing multiple disadvantages and are at risk of homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to sustain their current accommodation and identify new or more suitable living arrangements.
  • Develop a comprehensive network of support for clients, including working with landlords, support agencies, healthcare providers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide motivational and psychologically informed support to clients to help them maximize their choice and control over their lives.
  • Collaborate with the local authority and other agencies to ensure that clients receive the best possible support and outcomes.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience of working with clients who have complex and multiple needs, including mental health, drug and alcohol, homelessness, and offending.
  • Experience of outreach or floating support work, with a proven ability to engage clients and build relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and successfully in a team environment, across sectors and agencies.
  • Proven ability to promote and apply good practice in equality and diversity and inclusion.
  • Ability to operate risk management and safe working practices when working with vulnerable clients.
