Job Summary

We are seeking a Support Practitioner to join our team at Turning Point Scotland. As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.
  • Work with individuals to identify and achieve their personal outcomes, including keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with individuals, their families and friends, and other health and social work professionals to ensure a person-centred approach to support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised support plans, taking into account the individual's needs, goals and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a consistent and high-quality service is delivered.

Requirements

  • No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided.
  • IT skills are required for all our vacancies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with individuals, families and professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
