Mental Health Specialist Clinical Psychologist Position

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join their team in the Kingston Psychology & Psychotherapies services.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding career path for an experienced Clinical Psychologist looking to make a difference in the lives of individuals with severe mental health difficulties. As a key member of the team, you will provide specialist psychological assessments, treatments, and support to clients across various care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient units.
Key Responsibilities- To conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using complex methods and techniques to inform treatment plans.
- To develop and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to individual client needs, drawing on a range of theoretical models and therapeutic approaches.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between services.
- To provide supervision and guidance to junior staff members and students, promoting continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.
- To engage with service users, carers, and families to ensure their needs are met and they receive high-quality care.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate with:
- A doctoral-level qualification in clinical psychology or its equivalent, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Proven experience working with clients with severe mental health problems, demonstrating expertise in assessment, intervention, and management.
- Demonstrated skills in effective communication, consultation, and collaboration with other professionals and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with research methodology, design, and data analysis, as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development.
