About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Waiter to join our team at The Dorchester, a renowned luxury hotel and restaurant. As a Senior Waiter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our discerning guests, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable and exceeds their expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expedite dishes from the kitchen to the front of house designated area in a professional manner, paying attention to cleanliness and presentation.
  • Ensure that dishes with special requirements are expedited to the right table and thoroughly labelled.
  • Notify the Senior Waiter and Head Waiter of special dishes on the tray.
  • Complete morning opening mise-en-place on time and closing duties.
  • Have an extensive menu knowledge to ensure our guests receive the best experience.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with a customer service ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent knowledge of fine dining service and hospitality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and provide leadership when needed.
  • English is the primary language used in our hotel, and you must be able to communicate comfortably in this language.
