Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialty Doctor to join our multidisciplinary team at St Margaret of Scotland Hospice. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality palliative care to patients and their families, working closely with our team of consultants, clinical fellows, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and educational support to the Hospice Inpatient Units and Community-Based Palliative Care Service
  • Develop and implement innovative education programs in partnership with the Hospice Education Team
  • Collaborate with primary care colleagues and acute colleagues across NHSGGC to deliver high-quality care
  • Participate in the development of the Hospice's education program and contribute to the delivery of palliative care services
  • Support the delivery of the 24/7 Support Service, which provides vital support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Full registration with a License to Practice with the GMC
  • Experience in palliative care and a strong understanding of the principles and practices of hospice care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities and demands
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to pursue higher education in palliative care
